Drake's goal is to achieve at least LEED Silver or 2 Green Globes certification on all new campus construction. To that end, irrigation and lawn are being replaced with native plantings in bioswales and rain gardens on recent projects to hold and retain water run-off from buildings, parking lots, and pedestrian plazas.
