A brief description of steps taken to ensure that e-waste is recycled responsibly, workers’ basic safety is protected, and environmental standards are met:
1st step - Electronic waste (computers, monitors, printers, keyboards, mice, cables, refrigerators, and scales) is brought to the IT department. 2nd step - A local technology recycler company collects, roughly bi-monthly, all the e-waste. 3rd step - Once the electronic waste is collected at DUC it is reused or transferred to a State approved recycler.
