Campus land total of 301 acres includes 211 acres in Carlisle (main campus, Dickinson Park, athletic fields, buildings, lots, leased properties, trails and woods) plus the 90 acre Dickinson College Farm in Boiling Springs. An additional 97 acres of farm land in Boiling Springs owned by Dickinson but rented to a local farmer is not included in our institutional boundary.
Area of laboratory space is calculated as the total area of Dickinson's science buildings per AASHE STARS guidance for simplified reporting: Rector Science Complex (112,800), Tome Hall (52,000) and Kaufman Hall (53,539).
Area of healthcare space is the area of our Wellness Center, Health & Counseling Centers (9,300 total and 1,663 for healthcare specifically).
Other energy intensive spaces includes the Dr. Inge P. Stafford Greenhouse for Teaching and Research, Dining Services kitchens and cold storage areas, and The Quarry eatery (6,887).
