The college’s mission speaks to the importance of creating engaged citizens; Dickinson supports our employees in their pursuit of civic engagement by allowing individuals to take up to eight (8) hours of paid time on an annual basis to perform community service (Policy in Employee Handbook).

Dickinson traditionally offers an organized opportunity to provide community service by participating in A Day of Caring or other college-sponsored opportunities.

Dickinson offers Social Wellbeing programs or events that support not only one's own emotional wellbeing, but also the social wellbeing of others within our community. Employees are encouraged to enjoy giving back to their community by volunteering in a community-based program or event.
