A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to staff:
In 2017, training sessions were hosted for the entire Dining Services staff, housekeeping staff, admissions staff, academic department coordinators, development staff, diversity team, and all new staff of the college reaching nearly 75% of college staff. Training sessions including green cleaning, sustainable food and dining, waste minimization, and how to connect sustainability to departmental responsibilities and goals. The Center for Sustainability Education (CSE) offers various forms of staff training: 1. CSE annually hosts Inside Dickinson, an open house forum that allows Dickinson employees the opportunity to learn more about the services of both academic and administrative departments by visiting there spaces and programs. This session is open to any staff member at the college. 2. CSE offers 8 Sustain IT Workshops annually, open to staff, that are content specific action workshops with an educational component. 3. CSE has also partnered with Human Resource Services offering wellness programs including lunch-and-learn workshops and biking seminars for staff of the college. The Center for Sustainability Education formalized the educational programming available to staff by creating an a-la-carte menu of information session options for departments, offices, or all-college committees to request, and leads about 3 sessions per semester. Additionally, the Center for Sustainability Education engages all new employees through the College's new employee orientation program.

The Center for Sustainability Education (CSE) is continuously networking with campus offices and departments to find ways to connect students to the living laboratory that is Dickinson College. Custom training workshops have been developed and implemented for a wide range of audiences to help incorporate sustainability into all aspects of life and work at Dickinson.
