It should be noted that, while we did not reduce energy consumption per square foot of building space from 2005 to 2010, Dickinson had already attained a high degree of energy efficiency by 2005, as evidenced by our 6.8 MTCO2e scope 1 + scope 2 emissions per 1000 square feet of building space. This is 40% lower than the 11.5 MTCO2e average reported by ACUPCC for 130 baccalaureate colleges in their database.
