The Diversity and Equity Committee, an official committee within faculty governance includes representatives from humanities: math, computational or natural science; arts; social science; two at-large faculty; Six (6) senior administrators (Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean of the School of Music, Vice President for Student Academic Life, Vice President for Enrollment Management, Senior Advisor to the President for Diversity and Compliance/Title IX Coordinator andVice President for Strategic Initiative. The DEC meets monthly to evaluate and address issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion across campus.

DePauw Dialogue is an annual event that includes students, faculty, and staff in a day of dialogue about issues of diversity and inclusion. Classes are suspended for the day and offices are closed. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend. Attendance is tracked for students through Campus Labs, and attending 4 DePauw Dialogues is a requirement for the DePauw Gold Commitment. DePauw also has graduation requirements that all students must take at least one course related to Power, Privilege, and Diversity as well as one course related to Global Perspectives.
