The Ullem Campus Farm is 12 acres of the DePauw Campus and the farm follows organic practices as outlined by the USDA. Though the farm is not pursuing official organic certification at this time, no inorganic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides have been added to the property for the last 3+ years.

DePauw's basic IPM plan is to treat diseases and pests as they arise by continuing to monitor and scout for diseases and pests as favorable environmental conditions occur.

Our assistant director of Facilities Management, Grounds and Landscaping uses native species whenever and wherever he can in practice. A a policy does not exist for this practice yet.
