A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability, including the issues, bills, and ordinances for or against which the institution has advocated:
DePauw University recently sent a letter to our state representative and senator, asking the state to change state utility and allow Power Purchase Agreements for solar installations in Indiana. DePauw has also expressed a willingness to file an affidavit at the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission on the issue.
In December 2013, DePauw Assistant Sustainability Director served on a panel and dialogue with members of the White House Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resiliency in Carmel, Ind.
