A brief description of how the institution ensures that its lowest-paid workers (including contractors, if applicable) receive sustainable compensation:
DePauw University offers a minimum wage of $10.00 an hour with insurance, long/short disability, sick time, and vacation. 30% of wages go toward benefits and most years salaries are increased.
Insurance is higher for higher salary rates. The university has a conscious plan that the committees use as a benchmark to ensure accessibility and affordability to all people.
DePauw also ensures salary equity between genders. We compare on a regular basis to other schools, to our community, and internal equity based on gender and experience.
