A brief description of steps taken to reduce hazardous, special (e.g. coal ash), universal, and non-regulated chemical waste:
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) serves as a resource to assist the University in maintaining a safe environmental in which to work and study. A key responsibility within this effort is monitoring the University’s compliance with various federal, state and local regulations related to workplace safety and the protection of the environment. To the extent that an unsafe condition or instance of non-compliance with safety-related regulations has been identified, EHS will work with the University department to correct the situation.
