DePaul first tries to reuse electronic equipment (see Waste Tier Two Credit #1, below).


A brief description of the electronic waste recycling program for institution-generated materials:

Computer equipment not reused gets recycled, as are toner cartridges. The revenue gained from recycling funds student scholarships.


A brief description of the electronic waste recycling program for student-generated materials :

Cell phones and batteries no longer wanted by the students are recycled in central locations on both campuses. However, there is no computer recycling for students done on campus.
