A brief description of the program:
Indication – DePaul participates in the Chicago Transit Authority’s UPASS program
Description -- In 1999 DePaul began providing its full-time undergrad and Law students access to unlimited rides on CTA-operated bus and rail lines through the U-Pass program. That year, the ¬¬¬¬8,000 students who qualified for the program were automatically charged a one-time fee, which allowed them to use CTA buses and trains 24/7 during the school year, except for winter break. Since then, the program has expanded to include full-time students in the University’s other schools and has increased enrollment to 12,000. By the end of the 2010 school year, all the University’s nine colleges will be participating in the program.
