Description – (From DePaul’s Environmental Initiatives) Introducing native vegetation that require no irrigation, following xeriscaping techniques (e.g., using grass clippings as mulch, purchasing organic materials to supplement soil and prevent pests, and properly designing plant areas). DePaul has found that properly chosen native plants require less maintenance and are in keeping with the University’s sustainability posture.
