Denison has a robust student wellness program and Wellness is one of five key areas of the college's current strategic plan. That plan includes the planned construction of a new student wellness center on campus.

Denison has a Wellness program for student that:

Denison University encourages students to lead a holistic lifestyle through the “Be Well to Do Well” program. In this program, each of the 5 dimensions of wellness (Personal, Community, Social, Financial and Intellectual forms a piece of a lifestyle. All areas of wellness interact continuously, influencing and being influenced by each other. Making a conscious change in one area of wellness will directly affect other areas as well. “Be Well to Do Well” offers continuity and integration of care providing students with the services, health education, and support needed to successfully navigate the management of their well-being.

The purpose of the Employee Wellness Program is to provide faculty and staff with access to facilities and opportunities to receive information and assistance needed to work towards a more healthful lifestyle. The scope of the program includes health risk appraisal/screening; physical fitness workshops and instruction; educational workshops such as smoking cessation and weight watchers; and spiritual and emotional wellness.
