Denison has conducted numerous multiyear assessments and other assessments related to diversity and equity. This process involved not only survey work, but also numerous focus group sessions led by Denison's Student Development office. Survey work and data analysis was also done with recent graduates to help identify trends related to career success and overall Denison experience. At times, Denison has used NSSE and CIRP data related to this topic to also inform the college.

Denison is a data-driven college and results from all the student assessments we conduct are used to inform policies and decision-making related to not only equity and diversity, but to other aspects of the college as well. Many new programs have been developed over the last few years to address issues of diversity and equity for our students - some of these have already been described in other STARS Credits.
