The President and/or Provost of the college will often join and/or lead their peers at other institutions to promote and support public policies that aim to increase and enhance sustainability efforts in higher education. Most recently the President signed an open letter urging Ohio Senator Brown and Ohio Representatives LaTourette, Austria, and Kaptur to insure that funding for the University Sustainability Program (USP) at the Department of Education is included in the FY2012 budget.
