A brief description of the child care program, policy, or practice:
Denison has no form program or policy in place, however, it does provide some child care incentives. An Ad Hoc childcare service is available to any faculty and staff at major convocation events held outside the normal work day that are expected to draw a large audience and therefore create a great need for child care for faculty and staff. Childcare may also be made available for other important events at the college. This service is run by a team of Volunteer care providers coordinated by a Denison employee. Each of these volunteers undergoes a criminal background check by the State of Ohio to ensure compliance with laws regarding childcare providers.
Denison also provides employees with the opportunity to put pre-tax dollars for childcare into a Dependent Care Spending Account.
