A brief description of the sustainable food and beverage purchasing program:
Denison works with its food service provider, Sodexo, to identify local farms from which to purchase products such as meats, eggs, dairy, and produce. As an institution we consider sustainable to be local foods grown or raised using minimal or no chemicals. For the purpose of this assessment, approximately 75% of our food comes from farms in Licking County and/or bordering counties.
