Research Inventory
Inventory of the institution’s sustainability research:
The DLSL Research Governance Framework establishes the standards and principles that are required for all research conducted by Partners in DLSL, particularly projects that utilize the resources of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation and the Research Management and Coordination Office (OVCRII-RMCO). All units are encouraged to identify their respective research priority areas and themes that address the UN-SDG and align with DLSL's strategic direction through a collaborative and inclusive process.
Researchers submit to their unit heads their research proposals, ensuring they reflect or indicate their alignment with the UN-SDG and institutional research agenda. This focus and purpose serve as the basis for unit endorsement and approval of research grants..
Completed papers are presented and published in peer-reviewed and high-impact journals, ensuring they are at least published in journals aligned with UN-SDGs or their discipline
A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
The Research Management and Coordination Office (RMCO) of DLSL aligns research agendas with institutional directions and the UN-SDG, fostering responsiveness, dependability, and the delivery of research support that leads to increased productivity, enhanced ethical practice, and quality research outputs. The office sets standards and principles that are mandatory for all research undertaken by partners in DLSL requiring the alignment of proposed projects with the UN-SDG and DLSL’s institutional goals, particularly projects utilizing the institution’s resources, to ensure compliance and improve research quality.
The DLSL research inventory for employee engagement is systematically compiled, updated monthly, and summarized at the end of SY 2024 through a well-structured process aimed at categorizing sustainability-related research in alignment with the school’s strategic directions and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDG). The Research Management and Coordination Office (RMCO) issues a template for submitting their research track record and maintains a database of faculty profiles submitted containing their research interests, previous research engagements/projects, and publications for research tracking and as a reference for sending or posting research opportunities. The research profile is annually updated by researchers and maintained in confidence by the research office. A designated research officer and office assistant likewise maintain monitoring and evaluation sheets to monitor the progress of the research projects.
Calls for proposals were issued to all Lasallian Partners or DLSL employees, highlighting the importance of sustainability-related topics and alignment with the school’s strategic objectives and mission vision. Submitted research is then meticulously categorized based on the relevant UN-SDGs and their specific targets, evaluated thoroughly and comprehensively to determine relevance to one or more SDGs, and assessed for its contribution to institutional strategic goals. Research that met the school’s research agenda and the UN-SDG criteria was prioritized and approved. Every step was thoroughly documented, from the initial call for papers to final categorization. Detailed records of the categorization criteria, review processes, and decision-making steps were maintained to ensure transparency and accountability. A comprehensive report is then prepared to summarize the research categories, their alignment with SDGs, and their relevance to DLSL’s strategic direction.

The research titles, abstracts, and content of completed papers are kept in RMCO databases together with the research profile of the researchers. They are categorized based on its alignment with the 17 UN-SDGs. The table also reflects the dissemination efforts of the faculty and publication to various journals, which are evaluated by the research council based on criteria such as the journal's impact factor and the relevance of the research to the UN-SDGs.
