A brief description of the sustainable operations and maintenance policy/program and/or O+M rating system(s) used:
It is a practice of De La Salle Lipa to have in place a clear and stringent protocol that regulates the procedure, maintenance processes, and scheduling involved in the maintenance of buildings and other occupied facilities of the school.
In line with their respective business levels and occupancy status, all properties shall have each building fully reconditioned once a year and shall carry out extraordinary maintenance. This latter, however, shall be an ongoing commitment throughout every one-year period. The school follows an Institutional Integrated Pest Management Program (IPM) through an accredited pest management company. The results of the yearly pest management program are submitted to local Municipal Health as a requirement for the school's yearly business permits.
Building maintenance shall therefore become a regular program that Shared Services implement in time, according to the established institutional standards, following the national Green Building Code and Fire Code, using two separate and specially designated facility management teams and skilled trades/service professionals for the program, through the services of an Integrated Facility Management Company.
