Has the institution banned or eliminated the on-site sales and distribution of at least one type of single-use disposable plastic?:
Yes
A brief description of the single-use disposable plastics that have been banned or eliminated:
DE LA SALLE LIPA (DLSL) took a stand to reduce its generation of plastic wastes by (1) banning single-use PET bottled water and beverages on the campus; and (2) encouraging requiring all stakeholders to bring their own water containers and make use of the available water hydration and drinking fountains found all over the campus. In the last three academic years, DLSL has successfully brought down plastic wastes generation between 50% and 80% relative to a base of 4,066 kg per year in AY 2016-2017. “Conserving is Cool” Campaign Posters to launch the ban on Single-Use Plastic Bottles and Bring Your Own Container has been posted around campus and digitally circulated thru the school's official school media.
