Publication Screening

Journal publication screening is done to ensure that faculty researches are published in journals with the reputation of good quality, accessibility, and wide readership. Faculty researchers can choose to publish their research in journal publications approved and recommended by the Office of Research and Publications (ORP).

General Procedure:

1. The author search for high-quality journal publications where his/her paper ideally fits.

2. The author will inform the ORP of the journal publication where he /she intends to publish his/her paper.

3. An ad-hoc committee composed of selected coordinators, deans, and area/program chairs will screen the journal publication chosen by the author.

4. The journal publication is assessed by the ad hoc committee in terms of relevance to the area of study and discipline, accreditation, and index. If the journal publication is not predatory, it will be included in the list of approved journal publications by the ORP. The list will be reviewed annually.

The official list after assessments is recommended by the ORP Director and approved by the OVCR.

ORP Research Network Capability Building Program
Academic administrators, research coordinators, officers and staff of the ORP are sent to national and international training or conferences to present their paper or gain global updates, establish a network with researchers from different parts of the world and subsequently to suggest ways on how to improve standards of research conduct and publication.
