A brief description of the institution’s library support for sustainability research:
The De La Salle Lipa Learning Resource Center (DLSLLRC) evolves to contribute to
the institution’s vision and mission to sustain research and learning. There is a
presence of digital content and equitable physical and online resources so that
researchers will be more engaged in the many facets of students learning,
enhance faculty teaching, scholarly research, and connection with external
groups. The Librarians play key roles to support research and learning through
collaboration and knowledge-creation.
The DLSLLRC provides resources in the different areas of discipline to support
research and CAPSTONE initiatives, life-long learning, and scholarship of Lasallian
Partners. A collection development policy is being followed to assure of the
evidence-based and demand-driven acquisition of resources and the title by title
purchase and subscription packages.
There is also increased digital access through the digitization process. The
Library’s Discovery Service (LibDS) which is the LRC platform is integrated with the
students and La Sallian Partners learning management system to easily navigate
their research needs. Moreover, user-friendly online reference, information
services and information literacy programs/modules are available to promote
discovery and learning, thus improving sustainable research.
