A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
The course/subject inventory was developed according to the requested information of the criterion and benchmark tool from other AASHE member schools. The inventory sheet was then shared with the respective Learning Area/Program Chairs of each Academic units, both in the Integrated School and the Colleges. They were requested to fill the inventory with the course reference and description with specific sustainability keywords that identify courses that are sustainability-focused and sustainability-inclusive or supportive subject categories.
Courses/Subject categories that are within the submitted inventory primarily focused on a topic other than sustainability, but incorporate:
- A unit or module on the concept of sustainability.
- Or a sustainability challenge (addressing more than one of the dimensions of social, economic, and environmental sustainability).
- Or one or more sustainability-focused activities.
- Or sustainability issues integrated throughout the course.
A collaborative meeting with representatives from each academic department was done to aid them in identifying the sustainability courses taught in their department.
