Quebec has it own Health & Safety protocols ( CNESST: https://www.cnesst.gouv.qc.ca/en ) and standards are imbedded in the various collective agreements of teachers, support staff, professionals. The government web site link is mentioned below in the note section for reference.

A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :

As per provincial Labour Standards, Pay Equity or Occupational Health & Safety Board (SNESST), all incidents are recorded and reports made to the college health & safety committee, Human Resources at the college and follow-up made to ensure provincially legislated norms for Health & Safety are being followed. Unions represented at the college have representatives on the college Health & Safety committee. All incidents must be reported to the provincial body that regulates health & safety legislation. Inspections of equipment, labs and general work areas are made by personnel of the CNESST when complaints are received.
