A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

A pilot Flourishing survey was given to the Office of Sustainability staff and members of Student Services and Academic Advising. This consisted of a one week survey with an researched flourishing survey instrument that looks at positive outcomes daily at the workplace, much like negative daily outcomes would be recognized as, for example, illness (anxiety or depression).

 


A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation:

Although only a pilot, this survey and the research surrounding the concept of Flourishing was discussed by the strategic plan committee. Flourishing is subsequently prominently mentioned as part of well-being in the new 2024-29 strategic plan (see below).
