Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Ginkgo Tree Nursery

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

30 Gingko seeds were received from Japan (tested for radioactivity) where a large tree in Hiroshima survived the nuclear explosion and continued to send up shoots a year after the event. The tree now produces seeds and 30 seeds were secured and planted at Dawson College. 18 trees have matured into 1 meter tall trees on our rooftop nursery. They represent life and peace and Dawson is donating these special trees to organizations and educational institrutions that are celebrating peace and using the tree planting as a powerful symbol. Several church groups and synagogues have received trees and several Peace pilgrimages have been planned to celebrate the significant symbol of peace and resilience these trees represent
