A brief description of the institution’s third party certified land holdings:
2024 - Dawson's 12 acres of urban space is a certified wildlife-friendly habitat by the Canadian Wildlife Federation because of its efforts to create micro-habitats (raised wetland, meadows, decomposition area, snags, hugel garden and pollinator gardens) that have attracted over 1000 species to the grounds.
2014- The City of Montreal Espace de la Vie designated the campus grounds a monarch oasis and the ecological peace garden a Montreal biodiversity site.
