A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

Two online surveys of employee satisfaction and engagement were conducted at Dawson College: one with faculty and another with staff. The surveys were run between February 19th and March 2nd, 2018.
There was a total of 383 faculty and staff who completed the survey. This represents a participation rate of 43.6% based on a total population of 878 in Winter 2018. The distribution of responses to the survey and the percentage of the total employee population is show in Table 1 in the attached document.
Two reports of the findings were prepared by the Quality Assurance and Planning Office: one based on the faculty results and one based on the staff results. These were sent to the Director of Human Resources in April 2018. The Coordinator of the Quality Assurance and Planning Office and the analyst from this office met with the Director of Human Resources to review the results. The staff results were presented at a meeting of all managers in May 2018.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):

Reports go to The Human Resources Director, the Director General's Group and the Director general of the College. This then is considered in the next fiscal year's planned objectives.
