A brief description of the time period from which the figures reported above are drawn (i.e. one-year time period or representative sample):
Figures are from 2019-20 fiscal year. Paper reduction campaigns were implemented for several years previous to 2019. On-line publications were promoted, the registrar's office purchased updated software enabling on-line manipulation of course selection, dropping course, course change and fee payments which reduced paper use, brochures for programs were replaced with on-line versions and videos and paper consumption was greatly reduced. The paper purchased in the Fall of the 2019-20 year was FSC paper and represented the needs of the college for that year. COVID-19 resulted in a mid-March shutdown but the majority of paper consumption happens at the beginning of each semester therefor the statistic for the most recent year was used.

The Facilities Management sustainability representative reviewed all office paper purchases and totaled the purchase price of the paper orders for one year. FSC or equivalent paper was isolated from other types of paper and then verified with the college printshop coordinator.
