Carbon Neutral Forever

In October 2018, Dawson board directors make unanimous decision to declare Dawson College not only carbon neutral, but Carbon Neutral Forever -to continue to actively reduce GHGs and to offset all energy, waste, refrigerant, transport and commuting emissions (Scope 3), including any new future buildings, from this time forward.

Dawson's board of governors unanimous vote to declare the college Carbon Neutral Forever applies to every future year of operations and includes any future expansion of Dawson activities and the physical campus. We challenge other colleges in the Quebec network to follow with their own declarations and help with meetings or workshops to review our process, funding and awareness campaigns related to carbon responsible operation.
