1. Sustainable Happiness Certificate
Sustainable Happiness is: happiness that contributes to individual, community, and global well-being without exploiting other people, the environment or future generations. This course, and a separate pay-it-forward project, is a prerequisite to the 6 month Sustainable Happiness Facilitator Training Program. When both sections and the pay-it-forward project are complete, participants obtain the Facilitator Training Certificate.
2. The Sustainable Happiness Facilitator Training program is designed to broaden and deepen your understanding of sustainable happiness. Through this 6-month program, you will be developing facilitation skills so that you are comfortable with giving presentations, and leading workshops or courses on sustainable happiness. The program is primarily offered online and includes readings, videos, experiential activities and questions to stimulate discussion with your classmates. There will also be three onsite sessions with your instructor, Dr. Catherine O’Brien, in addition to opportunities for you to facilitate sustainable happiness workshops with Dr. O’Brien, and on your own.
3. Geography & the Environment (320-102-DW and 320-BWS-03): Explore the complex relationships between people, place, space, and the environment by introducing key concepts in social, cultural, economic, and urban geography.
