See attached document.
A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory (including the types of faculty and staff included as researchers):
Being a CEGEP, research is not considered during faculty tenure and promotion decisions as a matter of policy or standard practice.
Nonetheless, Dawson faculty are active in publishing and presenting their research nationally and internationally, as well as collaborating with external partners and organizations.
Uzma Jamil, Research Coordinator, prepared a list of sustainability research grants for this inventory. More extensive information about the listed research projects can be found in the Annual Research Reports (see https://www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca/research/). For ASSHE reporting, only Dawson employees undertaking research that involved publishing or research that was specifically funded by research grants were considered. Such activities as presenting at conferences, implementing workshops, attending symposiums or writing reports were not considered research for reporting purposes.
