One
A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
Inventory was completed by searching both the undergraduate and graduate academic timetables for courses offered within the 2019/2020 academic year that were sustainability focused and courses that include sustainability. The academic timetables list the available courses that students can take at the University. Within the course description, it was usually possible to infer whether or not a course is sustainability focused or includes sustainability.
The following course types were not included in the total course count or within the inventory:
- Internships
- Practicums
- Independent study
- Special topics
- Thesis
- Clinical
- Physical education
- Performance art
The completed inventory was disseminated to all faculties across the institution to validate by faculties for accuracy and thoroughness in the courses that were included, and to seek suggestions for any additional sustainability-related courses that might have been missed or initially excluded from the existing list.
