"---" indicates that no data was submitted for this field

Has the institution conducted a survey or other evaluation that allows for anonymous feedback to measure employee satisfaction and engagement during the previous three years?:
Yes

Percentage of employees (staff and faculty) assessed, directly or by representative sample (0-100):
100

A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:

The quantitative data for this study were collected using both a self-administered paper questionnaire, as well as an online survey. All Dalhousie employees were given the option to complete the survey online or on paper. Prior to the distribution of the survey, employees were informed about the study and its objectives, and were asked for their co-operation. We used an external company Morneau Shepell to conduct and analyze the questionnaire and findings and provide a full report. We had a 25% participation rate with representation from staff and faculty from a wide variety of departments and academic faculties. The questions cover health (mental and physical), engagement, work life balance and productivity.

A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):

Departments are briefed on the findings and action is taken if appropriate. The HR department uses the finding to improve the HR techniques and available opportunities throughout all departments.
