Environmental Management certificate program: This program provides a solid understanding of environmental management using engineering principles combined with environmental and human health hazard considerations. The program places a special emphasis on practical applications of internationally recognized environmental standards. Program emphasis is on critical thinking, problem assessment and problem solving consistent with work place application of environmental management. Sustainability Leadership Certificate: This program which began in 2012 is open to all Dalhousie students and graduates. The program involves three weekend seminars and participation in engaged learning projects between the weekends. The program offers students the opportunity to: learn preacical skills and tools to lead and inspire change, practice participatory facilitation, group leadership, systems thinking and project prototyping, turn ideas into action by designing and implementing social change projects that meet real needs, build a network of collaborators and learn from community leaders in sustainability, bridge theory and practice in social, environmental and economic sustainability. https://www.dal.ca/faculty/sustainability/programs/slc/about.html
