Bike tours : Dalhousie Student Union (DSU) collaborates with the bike centre at Dalhousie to offer students free tours of Halifax utilizing active transportation while promoting the bike centre
Sustainability Booth at orientation resource fairs. The Office of Sustainability directs students to sustainability services on campus, provides printed resources answers questions, and leads a waste sorting activity.
Water station: DSU in partnership with the Halifax Water Commission brought in semi-permanent water stations for the duration of the orientation week. This allowed for the banning of all bottled beverages during that week.
The Residence Living Guide, provided to all students entering residence, highlights residence programming and direction for students who are interested in living more sustainably in residence.
ESS lecture series organized by the College of Sustainability provides avenues for students to listen to guest speakers on various sustainability topics.
Floor meeting sustainability talk. All Residence Advisors speak with their residents about sustainability resources and expectations.
