A brief description of the methodology used to determine the total number of courses offered and to identify sustainability course offerings, including the definitions used and the process for reviewing and/or validating the course inventory :
Inventory was completed by searching both the undergraduate and graduate academic calendars for courses that were sustainability focused and courses that include sustainability. The academic calendars list the possible courses that students can take at the University. Within the course description, it was usually possible to infer whether or not a course is sustainability focused or includes sustainability. If this was not clear from the course description, we contacted the instructor.
