A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
All new employees are offered a university sponsored employee orientation session coordinated by Human Resources Department. This is offered on a monthly basis. The Office of Sustainability was a guest speaker at employee orientations along with five other departments. Recently the format has changed so that videos are showed about sustainability and the office, the website is shown, and key programs are highlights such as the employee bus pass. Faculty also have an additional orientation day in August. The Office of Sustainability provides material for this orientation day including a jump drive with pertinent documents such as a “ What Goes Where Guide”.
