A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:
Bike tours : Dalhousie Student Union (DSU) collaborates with the bike center at Dalhousie to offer students free tours of Halifax utilizing active transportation while promoting the bike center,
Water station : DSU in partnership with the Halifax Water Commission brought in semi permanent water stations for the duration of the orientation week. This allowed for the banning of all bottled beverages during that week.
ESS lecture series organised by the College of Sustainability provides avenues for students to listen to guest speakers on various sustainability topics.
