Dalhousie aims to reduce GHGs 15% by 2013; 20% by 2016 and 50% by 2020 below the 2008-2009 baseline year scope 1 and 2 emissions.

Reduce Greenhouse Gasses:
• Increase conservation behaviour
• Enhance energy, water and product efficiency
• Switch to low and no emissions fuel for energy
and transportation

Adapt to a changing climate:
• Increase energy security
• Outline EMO and communication plan (Figure 10. Climate Change Strategies)
• Improve resilience of natural and built systems to severe weather

Increase climate change knowledge:
• Teaching and research on climate change issues in all Faculties
• Offer experiential education programs to students and employees that increase knowledge of climate science and focus on changing behavior on and off campus
