A brief description of the program(s):
Current Dalhousie faculty members are invited respond to the College of Sustainability’s annual call for teaching appointments in the SUST classes. Faculty may also propose to develop or adjust a class in their home department to fulfill the criteria for inclusion on the electives list for the Environment, Sustainability & Society Major. Incentives to the individual vary by Department; incentives for the Department are significant, as the teaching-related revenue from the increased enrolments in such classes remain with the offering Department.

A brief description of the incentives that faculty members who participate in the program(s) receive:
Release from a portion of normal teaching and administrative duties. If selected to the College of Sustainability's annual call for teaching appointments in the SUST classes, faculty are released from 20% to 50% of their normal duties for a three-year (renewable) term, to enable development and delivery of classes and curriculum in the College of Sustainability.
