Creighton University believes that each individual should be treated with respect and dignity, and that any form of harassment, discrimination, sexual and/or relationship misconduct is a violation of human dignity. The Office of Equity and Inclusion serves all members of the Creighton University community. This includes all students, faculty, and staff affiliated with the university.

The Office of Equity and Inclusion promotes an environment free from discrimination on the bases of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, handicap or disability, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, maternity and lactation status, or veteran status in the administration of academic programs, research, and employment.

The Office of Equity and Inclusion brings together a number of important university initiatives. This includes: Equity (Compliance) Efforts: Serves as the coordinator for compliance efforts in the areas EEO, ADA, and Title IX; Inclusion Efforts: Provides training, information, consultation, and resources for the Creighton community with regard to diversity, harassment and discrimination prevention, and violence prevention; and Resolution Efforts: Serves as the coordinator for addressing complaints of harassment and discrimination.

The cultural competence trainings are done through a number of offices and this includes both online and in person training. Creighton offers 24/7 E-Learning and Employee Development sessions on topics such as Diversity Training, preventing Employment Discrimination, Preventing Sexual Harassment, and violence prevention. There are other training modules available for all staff, as well as some specifically for managers.

Green Dot is a bystander intervention program that asks everyone to take action against power-based personal violence. This is offered several times a year, with sections tailored to students or faculty/staff. More information about Green Dot can be found here:
