The Office of Sustainability Programs has an Advisory Committee comprised of 11 faculty and staff members. The Advisory Committee meets monthly with the Sustainability Director to provide insights and propose recommendations for campus-wide sustainability efforts.

A brief description of the activities and substantive accomplishments of the institution-wide coordinating body or officer during the previous three years:
The Office of Sustainability Programs was established in January 2017 with 2 employees expanded to 3 employees in January 2023.
The office is involved with programming during Welcome Week in June and Student Orientation and mission week in August.
In the fall, the Office hosts Feast of St. Francis events and programs to celebrate Franciscan spirituality and care for the environment in coordination with Catholic Climate Covenant resources. Annual awards are presented to students, faculty, and staff who demonstrate a commitment to the spirit of St. Francis.
In the spring, the Office coordinates with groups across campus to host various Earth Week events to raise awareness about local and global issues related to sustainability.

This position will compile, maintain and report on the greenhouse gas inventory as well as on data related tobuilding-specific sustainability, on-campus renewable energy, and waste diversion. The Coordinator is responsible for consistently updating and reporting metrics on multiple external assessment programs including but not limited to Tree Campus USA the Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (STARS, Second Nature, and The Laudato Si Action Platform among others. The position will work with the Sustainability Governance Committee to publish a yearly campus sustainability report.
