The University, by being in the area of Omaha affected by the stormwater control project, CSO Omaha, is required to participate in stormwater control. http://omahacso.com/
Institution has comprehensive rainwater management policies, plans or guidelines that incorporate green infrastructure, cover the entire campus, and mandate the use of LID practices for all new construction, major renovation, and development projects; Institution has rainwater management policies, plans or guidelines that incorporate green infrastructure, but are less comprehensive (e.g., do cover the entire campus, cover buildings and other types of projects, or require consideration of rather than mandate LID practices); Institution uses green infrastructure to manage rainwater and employs LID practices on a case-by-case basis or for demonstration projects (i.e., in the absence of formal policies, plans or guidelines); OR of the above; institution does use green infrastructure or LID practices.

The Sustainable Design Policy includes information for Innovative Water Conservation: Focusing on reduced water usage including landscaping that is more water efficient, efficient plumbing fixtures, and improved storm water management.
We promptly clear grass clippings and granular fertilizers from sidewalks, driveways and streets, preventing them from ending up in the storm sewers and contributing to groundwater pollution.
