The Division of Mission & Ministry hosts a Catholic Social Teaching development series for employees. A session on caring for creation is included in that series.
The Division of Mission & Ministry, the Schlegel Center for Service & Justice, and the Office of Sustainability Programs offer Environmental Justice Community Orientation that includes information about climate change, how employees can make individual and systemic changes, and an experiential component (e.g., visiting a local coal-powered electricity plant). This community orientation is included in Mission & Ministry's catalog of formational experiences for faculty and staff: http://www.creighton.edu/missionandministry/livingourmission/experientialopportunities/

Staff Performance Reviews
As of 2022: Staff performance reviews include the following criterion for annual evaluation: "Competency: Stewardship and Mindfulness." Description of this competency is: "Recognizes and suggests more efficient and effective use of resources. Supports sustainability by reducing waste (materials, time, effort, etc.). Is mindful of and provides input when work processes may be improved to increase effectiveness and efficiency." Employees are rated "does not meet expectation, meets expectations, exceeds expectations". This is one of four competencies that all staff is evaluated.
