Documentation

A copy of the institution’s inventory of its sustainability course offerings and descriptions:
Do the figures reported above cover one, two, or three academic years?:
Three

A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
We started with the master course list from the Creighton University course database, taken over 3 years, which removed all repeated sections of courses and/or multiple concurrent sections of the same course. This became our "total number of courses offered by the institution." We then performed a SQL search using 50 keywords, based on AASHE definitions of a sustainability course and UN Sustainable Development Goals, on this total list of courses. The short list of identified courses was reviewed by the Sustainability Reporting Coordinator and if the course description easily identified it as sustainability-focused or sustainability-inclusive, it was selected for the inventory. If any questions arose, it was further reviewed by faculty representatives. The course list was then split into courses taught within graduate programs or undergraduate programs.

How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Other (please describe below)

A brief description of how courses with multiple offerings or sections were counted:
Each course (both total and sustainability) was counted as a single course regardless of the number of sections offered over three years or concurrently; however, some course offerings are cross listed to other departments and course numbers. These were not aggregated in this count due to the complexity of performing this on the master course list for the entire university, but the method used was equally applied to both total and sustainability courses for direct comparison.
