The Office of Sustainability Programs has an Advisory Committee comprised of 12 faculty and staff members. The Advisory Committee meets monthly with the Sustainability Coordinator to provide insights and propose recommendations for campus-wide sustainability efforts.

The University currently employs two people in The Office of Sustainability Programs: 1 full-time Sustainability Coordinator and 1 full-time Administrative Assistant, who supports the office and half-time and three sustainability academic programs in the College of Arts and Sciences half-time. Additionally, a Chemical Coordinator in Environmental Health and Safety has part-time assignment to assist with sustainability initiatives on campus.

A brief description of the activities and substantive accomplishments of the institution-wide coordinating body or officer during the previous three years:

The Office of Sustainability Programs was established in January 2017 and the University's first full-time Sustainability Coordinator was hired in June 2017. The Office hosts monthly Sustainability Forums where students, faculty, and staff from all over campus come to learn about topics related to sustainability.

In the fall, the Office hosts Feast of St. Francis events and programs to celebrate Franciscan spirituality and care for the environment in coordination with Catholic Climate Covenant resources. Annual awards are presented to students, faculty, and staff who demonstrate a commitment to the spirit of St. Francis.

In the spring, the Office coordinates with groups across campus to host various Earth Week events to raise awareness about local and global issues related to sustainability.
