All purchase orders originate within a department and are then routed through a centralized, online procurement purchasing platform. The products identified as “green” are tagged by the supplier and visible in the vendor catalog. That tag is conveyed to our reporting system, which collects and tracks all green items purchased. All unclassified items are identified, and procurement works with the respective supplier to determine if there is any applicable eco-tag.
